West Maui Half Day Waterfalls and Rainforest Hike

For those staying on the west side (Lahaina, Kahana, Napili, Ka`anapali, Honokowai, Kapalua), discover the wild, remote side of West Maui.  See spectacular rock formations and craggy sea cliffs as we drive to our location.  Moderate 2.5 mile (roundtrip) hike into an isolated rainforest along a beautiful stream.  Follow the stream to ancient stone-walled agricultural terraces. Walk through a peaceful bamboo forest. Swim in pools under the falls and shower under a 20-foot waterfall. See breathtaking triple cascading, 20-, 30- and 40-foot waterfalls from a lookout point. Circle West Maui tour - drive back by circumnavigating the West Maui Mountains.

Kahului Park & Ride:  (Hwy 380 / Hwy 350) Dairy Rd & Pu`unene Ave

Directions From Kihei-Wailea-Makena side:North on Pi’ilani Hwy (Hwy 31).  Turn right onto Mokulele Hwy (Hwy 311) toward Kahului.   Follow Mokulele Hwy for 10-12 minutes.  Turn left onto Hwy 380. (There is a large blue-gray church on your right.)  Go 200 yards and turn right into a commuter parking lot.  There is a small parking sign with green letters that says “Park & Ride."  Look for a green Hike Maui van.

Directions From Lahaina side:  South on Hwy 30.  Turn right at Hwy 380.  Go 5 on Hwy 380.    Look on the left side for Park & Ride - Make a left turn into the parking lot.  If you get to the traffic light with large gray/blue church on right, you have gone 100 yards too far.  Look for a green Hike Maui van.
