Kailua Beach is a picture perfect white sandy beach surrounded by a protective bay. The clean, clear waters of Kailua Bay provide the ultimate setting for ocean activities and fun in the sun.
From your Waikiki hotel, you’ll travel to Kailua Beach in a comfortable 15-passenger van through the tropical setting of the Ko’olau Mountains before arriving at the Kailua Beach Center.
At the center you’ll pick up your snorkel gear (mask, fins, snorkel), boogie board and beach mat before receiving a short briefing by the knowledgeable staff at Kailua Sailboards & Kayaks. They’ll provide all the instruction you’ll need including tips on the best places to snorkel and boogie board.
Laze around on the beach between boogie boarding cool ocean waves and snorkeling with sea turtles and colorful reef fish. Boogie boarding is a favorite at the North end of the beach where the shore break forms a perfect wave. The East end of the beach features calm water and is the best location to snorkel.
Take a break around noon and make your way up for a local style BBQ or have a picnic lunch with freshly made deli sandwich at the beach park, just like one of the locals! After lunch, you may take a shuttle bus to the center of Kailua Town for a unique shopping experience. Or you can just rejuvenate and refresh yourself before heading back out to the beach to bask in the tropical sun.
