The Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins sometimes appear right after we leave the harbor.  On some days they are nearer to Kaena Point, the westernmost point on Oahu, and sometimes they are in a sacred area off to the west. The Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins often swim directly under the boat and frolic on the waves.  The Dolphins and You friendly crew members help you get fitted with fins, snorkels and life vests. You will be led into the water feeling assured by our crew of experts all very good swimmers, surfers, and paddlers and all certified in lifesaving.

The type of dolphins in these waters is mainly “spinner dolphins.” “Hawaiian Spinner Dolphins” is the English name of these bottlenose dolphins who are skilled at making spinning jumps.  Experience the beautiful, mysterious world of the dolphin as you swim with dolphins in Oahu. We swim quietly because wild dolphins in Hawaii sleep while they swim. The turtles are on the verge of extinction therefore you cannot touch them. We lower a kayak at the spot where the fish and turtles are and everyone takes turns riding it. On days when there are nice waves, the local staff will even take you kayak surfing.

While everyone is playing with the turtles, on board the captain is preparing lunch. As we make our way back to the harbor,  enjoy a delicious, hot lunch of grilled cheeseburgers (veggie-burgers). From December to April, there are days when we encounter humpback whales. Before returning to the harbor, the staff will entertain you with a hula dancing show. The end of the tour is one of the highlights of the day when guests can enjoy a hula dancing lesson by an authentic hula teacher.
