“Ride The Rim” Big Island ATV tours takes you on an adventure for over 3 hours, where you can witness 2000 foot cliffs and majestic waterfalls plummeting into pools below, making these Hawaii activities one of the better Big Island tours. Sights that you will see are the twin Hi’ilawe Falls, vistas of the mile-wide black sand beach, eucalyptus and ginger forests, many other waterfalls and panoramic views that are breathtaking.

There are two Ride The Rim ATV Tours per day. Check-in for these Big Island ATV tours are at the Waipi’o Valley Artworks in Kukuihaele near Waipi’o Valley, northwest of Honokaa. When weather permits, these Big Island ATV tours allows participants to swim under a secluded waterfall at the head of Ki’ilawe Falls. Please bring your swim suit, towel and protective water shoes such as Tevas. Ride The Rim ATV Tours reserves the right to cancel swimming when conditions are clearly hazardous. During the ride it is advisable to wear long pants.
Please note that there is no tandem riding and you must be at least 16 years old to drive an ATV on the Ride the Rim ATV Tour. Ride The Rim Tour Guides can drive up to 5 passengers in a Kawasaki Mule that are too young to drive on their own (5-15 yrs of age) or elderly individuals not wishing to drive on their own. A comprehensive driving presentation and safety orientation is mandatory. If the guides feel that you do not demonstrate the abilities to drive the ATV safely you will not be able to participate and you will receive a refund. As always, safety gear is mandatory and provided on the Waipio Valley Rim ATV Adventure.

From Hilo:
Follow signs to the Hamakua Coast north on Highway 19. Go about 40 miles to Honoka'a Town and take the right off the highway into town. Go ALL the way through town and follow the signs straight ahead to Waipi'o Valley. As you leave Honoka'a toward the valley, the main road in downtown Honoka'a becomes Highway 240. At about the 8 mile marker, you will see a sign to Kukuihaele. Take that right fork and come down about 1 1/2 miles and look for Waipi'o Valley Artworks.
From Kona and Kohala Coast areas:
Find your way to Highway 19 going towards Honka’a. Follow the sign showing a left turn into Honoka'a Town. Travel approximately one mile to Highway 240 and take a left. Follow the signs to Waipio Valley. At about the 8 mile marker, take a right at the fork of Kukuihaele and come down about 1 1/2 miles and look for Waipi'o Valley Artworks.
