Maui Downhill First Light Summit Van and Bike Tour

View the First Light of a new day as we journey across Maui’s central valley and ascend Haleakala on the Maui Downhill First Light Summit Van and Bike Tour. As the sun rises we enter Haleakala National Park and continue to the summit. You will view the magnificent 3000 foot deep crater floor with cinder cones, volcanic features. You will tour the House of the Sun Visitor Center.

Learn about the history of Haleakala, the National Park and it's native endangered species. Visit the Silversword plants, and birds that have made Haleakala their permanent home.

After the Park tour your downhill mountain biking tour begins at 6500’ elevation outside the park. On Haleakala bike rides you will gently descend the twenty one switchbacks on the western slopes of the world’s largest dormant volcano. Don't forget your camera because there will be photo stops along the way to take home magical moments as you bike down a volcano.

We make a stop at the Sunrise Market and Protea Flower Farm. Here you can have a no-host meal, visit the flower farm and purchase souvenirs to take home.

After the Market and Flower Farm we continue the Haleakala bike rides through upcountry Kula. The bicycle portion of our tour ends near Pukalani.

Enjoy the Safari van tour from Pukalani to the sea with information and history of Maui’s pineapple plantation and sugar cane days.
