Haleakala Classic Sunrise Safari Tour

Coast through the green switchbacks of the western slopes filled with bi-coastal views of the Central Valley on Maui Mountain Bike Tours.  The Haleakala Classic Sunrise Safari Tour includes a spectacular sunrise and a Bike Down a Volcano adventure.    

Your Downhill Mountain Biking journey begins with an early morning pickup. The Safari van tour ascends to the top of Haleakala Ranch at the 6500’ elevation level just outside of the National Park entrance.  Enjoy hot beverages including coffee, hot chocolate and tea in our sunrise viewing area.  After enjoying a breathtaking sunrise you will begin your Maui Downhill adventure.  Tour Guides will go over a comprehensive safety briefing including Hawaii’s bicycle safety regulations and tour guidelines.

Haleakala Bike Rides gently descend the western slopes of Haleakala volcano with two safety stops in the switchbacks for rider evaluation, rest and photo opportunities.  Haleakala safari guides will point out Maui highlights and unique features of the mountain.

There will be a stop at Sunrise Market and Flower Farm for a no host lunch.

At the end of the Maui Downhill adventure, you will receive a safari van tour from Pukalani to the sea.  On this portion of the tour you will learn the history of Maui’s sugar cane and pineapple plantation days.
