Pearl Harbor and the Hawaii Plantation Village
On these Oahu tours you will visit Hawaii's most famous location, Pearl Harbor. The Pearl Harbor tours begin with a 20 minute film about the December 7, 1941 attack. Next, view a great collection of historic artifacts on display at the new Visitor Center. After that you will be taken via a navy launch to the USS Arizona Memorial.
After leaving Pearl Harbor you will visit an outdoor museum that tells the story of life on Hawaii's plantations in the early 1900's. Learn the tales of the people who were brought to Hawaii to work on the sugar cane fields that once surrounded Pearl Harbor, known as the River of Pearls.
The Hawaii Plantation Village includes restored buildings and replicas of houses of various ethnic groups, the plantation store and the camp office. You will learn about the lifestyle of the immigrants from Japan, Korea, China, Puerto Rico, Portugal and the Phillippines who once worked here. Sample delicious strawberry guava and fresh sugar cane. Your professional guide will explain Pearl Harbor's Geology, mythology, Hawaiian history, its native bird and plant species and unique marine life.
