The Hanamana is an institution on Big Island being one of the oldest sport fishing operations in the harbor.  It's been family owned and operated for over 40 years.

Captain Chip Fischer has over 40 years experience fishing in Kona and his father Captain Jack Fischer custom built the 38 ft Hanamana in 1966 for fishing the calm waters of Kona!  The Hanamana was rebuilt and re-powered in 2008 to be state of the art in fishing.

Honokohau Harbor features being able to get to deeper waters faster than most other places around the world.

Kona is known for Marlin, Ahi, Ono, Mahi Mahi, and Spear Fish!  And Hanamana Sportfishing uses LIVE BAIT whenever possible.

Hanamana's crew and captain are happy to help guests from beginners to experts.

Keep your catch!  Guests are welcome to keep what you catch and Hanamana will even fillet your catch at no additional charge.
