Kona Diving EcoAdventures - Blackwater Dive EcoAdventure

This tour is currently unavailable for booking on our site. Please visit our Big Island scuba diving page for other open scuba diving tours on the Big Island of Hawaii.

Enjoy seeing the marine life in the ocean at night with the Blackwater Dive EcoAdventure! Over 2 miles off the Kona coast in 5,000 feet of water, each diver is suspended from the boat up to 50 ft to drift with the current. This is where you will fet to witness the creatures that live here and see them glow. Watch the bio-luminescent movements of sea creatures swimming through the night.

Jellyfish, fish, and bacteria create chemical processes to emit light energy. Most bio-luminescence is a blue-green light which is more visible at night in the deep ocean. Animals exhibit this bio-luminescence for reasons such as hunting prey, defense, and finding mates.

Tour Inclusions:

  • Wraps, fresh fruit, snacks, soft drinks, and water provided
  • Oversize swim platform and fresh hot water showers
  • Friendly, knowledgeable and professional dive staff

**Please read the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Participant Statement & PADI Medical Questionnaire prior to booking this activity.
