Hang Loose Boat Tours - Whale Watch

This Big Island Whale Watching Tour is currently unavailable for booking on our site. Please visit our Hawaii Whale Watching Tours page for other available tours or see other tours below.

Come aboard the Hang Loose, a modern luxury catamaran, and enjoy a whale watch cruise along the Big Island’s Kona Coast. Pacific humpback whales are truly amazing mammals. Every year in the winter they travel from their summer feedings grounds off Alaska to the warm Hawaiian waters to mate and nurse their young. It’s a 3,000-mile journey!

This Kona whale watching tour takes you as close to the whales as possible, so you’ll have plenty of great photo opportunities. The 24-passenger luxury catamaran is designed for open ocean conditions that will allow all passengers to sit back, relax and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Kona Coast. The catamaran is also equipped with an underwater hydrophone, so you can listen to the incredible whale songs. It’s the way how they communicate with each other.

 Tour Highlights:

  • Cruise along the Kona Coast and see Pacific humpback whales up close
  • Plenty of great photo opportunities

Tour Inclusions:

  • Chips, granola bars, rice krispies, juice, ginger ale and water
  • Hydrophone speaker to hear the whales
