KapohoKine Adventures - HeliZippin' Volcano (from Kona/Kohala)
This is a great combo tour – you’ll first experience a thrilling zipline trek and after that an helicopter tour of the island! Departing from the Kona/Kohala side of the island, you’ll enjoy a relaxing drive along Saddle Road which traverses the island, featuring beautiful views of Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa volcanoes. In Hilo, you’ll drive along the historic waterfront and arrive at the zipline check-in location. Covering almost 2 miles of tropical river gorges, this 8-line zipline course takes your need for speed to new heights! Zip by several breathtaking waterfalls and experience one of the longest ziplines on the Big Island at over 2,400 feet in length! You’ll also ride the only all side-by-side dual-track zipline on the island.
Enjoy a picnic style lunch before your adventure continues with an aerial tour of the island. Hop on a helicopter and soar above the current volcanic activity on the island and keep an eye out for the previous 2018 eruption paths. What better way to see the volcanic eruption than from the air! KapohoKine Adventures partners with the highest-tech helicopter fleet in Hawaii. All seats have 180-degree views.
After your helicopter tour, you’ll head out to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Your Park Ranger-trained guide will reveal the highlights of the park, from active volcanic craters to steam vents, while fully narrating the adventure.
Then it’s on to the famous Volcano Winery, the southernmost winery in the United States. Here, you can sample up to 8 different wines, all with a unique Hawaiian touch. They also have estate grown teas you can try. Soft drinks and water are also included. Later, enjoy a hearty Hawaiian-style dinner with a complimentary glass of your choice of Volcano Winery wine or other beverage. Complete your day watching for current volcanic activity as the sun sets before returning.
