Pilikana - A Kona Inn Luau
This luau is currently unavailable for booking on our site. Please visit our Big Island luaus page for other open luaus on the Big Island.
Taking place on the "Great Lawn" behind the historic Kona Inn Shopping Village, this brand new Big Island luau is nothing short of amazing. Upon arrival, you can watch or take part in a variety of pre-show activities that are located throughout the Inn. There are several activity stations, such as Polynesian drumming, hula lessons, fire-knife demonstrations (with "no fire") and Polynesian tattoos.
Then watch two Kane performers make their way through, blowing conch shells, which signals that it's time to enter the luau grounds. Catered by Umekes Restaurant, enjoy traditional luau dishes from the dinner buffet. While feasting, enjoy live music and sip a tropical Mai Tai drink. After dinner, the Pilikana (meaning "Family Ties") will start, featuring music and dances from Hawaii and across Polynesia.
