Luxury Hotels in Hawaii
There are many luxury hotels in Hawaii but there are 2 luxury hotels in Hawaii that I find myself returning to over and over again. These hotels are both Starwood hotels and they cater to those that are looking for luxury in paradise.
The Royal Hawaiian
The Royal Hawaiian, also known as the Pink Palace of the Pacific, opened in 1927. Located in Waikiki on the island of Oahu this hotel offers stunning views of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head.
Many elite visitors have stayed at the Royal Hawaiian including the Rockefellers, the Beatles, Marilyn Monroe, Natalie Wood, and Dean Martin. Several people that I personally classify as “elite visitors” recently stayed at the Royal Hawaiian – my parents, my brother and my 3 children. We had every age demographic covered from age 4 to 74 and the Royal Hawaiian catered to each age group. My mother enjoyed rocking in the rocking chairs downstairs while enjoying the gentle breezes and beautiful gardens. My dad loved relaxing in the beachfront hot tub. My kids were torn between playing on world famous Waikiki Beach and Helumoa Playground. The Royal Hawaiian’s Helumoa Playground features 2 swimming pools, a water slide and whirlpool spas all with great views of Waikiki Beach. My brother and I could be found at the Royal Hawaiian’s oceanfront Mai Tai Bar where the modern Hawaiian Mai Tai originated.
If you are looking for a resort that provides luxury, beautiful views and a location in iconic Waikiki look no further than the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Whether you are planning a romantic getaway or a family vacation, the Royal Hawaiian Hotel has something for everyone!
The St Regis Princeville
You never forget your first time – your first time seeing the views from the St. Regis Princeville. I remember gasping at the spectacular panoramic view of Hanalei Bay and Makana the first time I saw it from the St. Regis Princeville.
The St. Regis Princeville opened in 2009 and is located on the North Shore of Kauai. In addition to luxury rooms the entire resort is stunning. The beautiful infinity pool overlooks Hanalei Bay and is steps away from the ocean. The beach fronting the St. Regis is protected by the Anini reef. The waters remain calm all year long and offer some great snorkeling locations. After a fun day of Kauai Activities be sure to return to the St Regis Princeville to experience one of the most beautiful sunsets in the world!
Once again my entire family loved the luxury of the St. Regis Princeville. My parents enjoyed sitting on the beach taking in the gorgeous views. My children enjoyed spending time playing in the sand and waters of Hanalei Bay. I was just happy to be there taking in the scenic views and truly relaxing.
