Spring break in Oahu is a great time to visit Hawaii…
Let’s say that you have an Oahu trip planned, but you aren’t sure how to best spend your time on the island.
The biggest problem you face is probably planning…after all, there’s a lot to choose from on this great island.
Here’s a sample itinerary to give you some ideas of how you can spend your spring break in Oahu:
Day 1: Waikiki
If the weather is good then you have to spend your first day and night on the famous Waikiki Beach.
The beach is perfect for sunbathing and socializing and it’s easy to get here from most parts of the island using public transport.
To experience a traditional Hawaiian evening, opt for the exciting Luau at Diamond Head. Within walking distance from most of Waikiki’s biggest attractions and close to the Waikiki Aquarium, the night comes with a Hawaiian buffet and plenty of entertainment.
Day 2: The West Shore
If you come to Hawaii during spring break, you should try hard to find dolphins. And the best way to do this is to book the Swimming with Dolphins in the Wild and Hawaii Culture Cruise on the island’s west coast.
The tour takes snorkelers out on a catamaran and in search of spinner dolphins. As soon as the crew spot dolphins, guests quickly put their snorkels, masks, and life vests on and get into the water with them.
It’s an experience you will never forget.
Day 3: Honolulu
You will probably have flown into Honolulu…but this famous city is worth revisiting time and again. There is so much to see and do in the city that you want to make sure you are energized.
There are a number of fun and exciting city tours on offer to fit some great destinations into a short space of time. One great introduction to the city is the 2.5-hour long Kaka-ako Bar Tour, which takes you around the city on a 15-seat passenger bike, stopping at a number of local brew pubs.
Also, you can really have a blast by taking the 3-hour-long sightseeing tour of the city on the Hawaii Duck Tour.
Day 4: Visit Pearl Harbor
You cannot travel all the way to Oahu and not visit one of the US’ most important historic landmarks, Pearl Harbor. For a complete experience choose the WWII Pearl Harbor Heroes Adventure with Pearl Harbor Tours.
The full-day tour takes you to all of the sights and attractions at Pearl Harbor, including the USS Arizona Memorial, the USS Missouri, the Pacific Aviation Museum, the Pearl Harbor Visitors Center and the USS Bowfin submarine.
Day 5: The North Shore
Finally, consider spending your last day in Oahu exploring one of the most beautiful regions on the island, the North Shore.
With Oahu Nature Tours you will see the natural beauty of the island that made the destination so famous, including the Ko’alu Mountains, Sunset Beach, Turtle Beach, Kahana Bay, shrimp farms, and the island’s largest Hawaiian temple.
The tour takes around half a day and you are transported in a comfortable van throughout the adventure, so it’s the perfect way to unwind at the end of your trip.
