Visit the original King Kamehameha Statue, which is rated as a top sight on TripAdvisor. This statue pays homage to Hawaii’s first king. The tour then continues on to the Pololu Valley lookout, which is one of the most picturesque views in the entire state. This spot overlooks 500-foot cliffs and a crescent shaped black sand beach.
Upolu Point was once the birthplace of King Kamehameha and is now the farm for Kuleana Rum Works. Here you can stroll through Hawaiian heirloom sugarcane and learn about 40 different varieties and taste sweet cane juice.
At the Kuleana Distillery, taste the evolution of sugarcane juice as it becomes rum. Enjoy an exclusive tour of the island’s first rum distillery. At the Kuleana Rum Shack, you can choose from a variety of signature rums or cocktails and enjoy authentic island cuisine. It is listed as a Top 100 Places to Eat by Yelp.

Lunch Menu:
- Kuleana Loco Moco: Braised beef short ribs served over steamed white rice with Hamakua Ali'i mushrooms, covered in rich demi-glace and topped with a sunny side-up egg
- Kalua Pork Sandwich: Kiawe smoked and slow roasted, drizzled with Kuleana BBQ sauce, topped with pineapple salsa and frizzle fried onions
- Chicken Mochiko: Boneless thigh pieces, breaded, fried and tossed in our house-made Korean Sauce, topped with garlic aioli unagi glaze and furikake
- Tutu's Amazing Burger: 1/2 pound of Big Island beef, Swiss cheese, grilled onion, house-made special sauce, lettuce and tomato on a brioche bun
- Pa'ele Fish Tacos: Three fillets seasoned with our signature Pa'ele seasoning and lightly pan-fried, with pickled slaw, island relish and spicy aioli
- Vegetarian Option: Farmer's plate with vegetables of the day
