Hawaii Forest & Trail - Farm to Forest Experience

Explore West Oahu's natural and cultural histories through historic sites, stories, people and food for an authentic Hawaiian experience. Join an interpretive guide that will take you on a journey through time that includes two locations not open to the public. This tour visits sites from sea level to the forested mountains above.

Head to Oahu's largest organic farm, Mao. Tour Mao Farms and then enjoy lunch on the farm. You'll also be able to prepare your own farm-to-table salad to go with your sandwich or wrap selection.

Then head to a private trail in the Waianae Range that only Hawaii Forest & Trail has access to for a hike punctuated by natural sounds and sweeping views.

Lunch selections include a choice of a turkey sandwich, Italian sub sandwich, tuna sandwich, or veggie hummus wrap from Kalapawai Market. Also enjoy making a farm to table salad to go with it.

Where and When:
Ko Olina pick-ups are usually from 8:20 am to 9:00 am.
Waikiki pick-ups are usually from 8:20 am to 9:00 am.

Pick-ups are available from select Ko Olina & Waikiki locations. Exact pick-up time and location will be in your confirmation email.
All Guest Must:
  • Provide Proof of a negative COVID-19 test through the Hawaii Safe Travel Program or proof of 14 day quarantine (airline generated flight itinerary). Test results must be presented upon check-in.
  • Complete a Health Questionnaire and temperature check with contactless infrared thermometer completed prior to participation.
  • Wear a face mask at all times in the vehicle and wherever social distancing is not possible.

Please bring your own water bottle for use on tour. Water bottles are available for purchase at Hawaii Forest and Trail and a jug will be available for refills.
All guests on this tour should be able to walk a short distance of .5 to 1.5 miles and over uneven and rocky terrain.
