Hawaii Sport Fishing - Maui Ho'okela Sportfishing
Capt. Kim has been fishing the waters of Maui his entire life and is well known on Maui for providing productive and memorable trips for all his customers. Though there are never any guarantees in fishing, Capt. Kim does guarantee that he and his crew will use whatever techniques they can to help you catch a fish. Having live bait onboard really helps and they’ll use up to 6 other techniques, which include dead bait trolling, bait-and-switch, chumming, jigging, and a variety of Hawaiian and Japanese techniques.
Fishing on Maui is great year round. There have been 1,000-pound Marlin caught in Hawaiian waters every month of the year, and anything can happen at anytime. Common fish caught are Mahimahi, the most plentiful game fish in the ocean, Marlin (Pacific Blue, Striped and Pacific Short-Nosed Spearfish), Ono or Wahoo, Ahi (Yellowfin Tuna), Aku (Skipjack Tuna), Kawakawa, Shibi, Kahala (Amberjack) and Ulua, which are caught in deep waters with live bait!
Choose to Charter the boat for a maximum of 6 passengers or join a Share Trip where you can share the boat with other fisherman (requires a minimum of 4 passengers to operate). Those who do not wish to fish but would like to join a friend or family member on a share trip can book the Rider option.
