For those who want to explore and learn about the beautiful and secluded island of Lanai, and would rather be driven than drive, Expeditions offers 4x4 Trekker guided tours. Your adventure starts when you board Expeditions passenger ferry to Lanai from the main pier at Lahaina Harbor. During your 45 minute voyage across the Auau channel you will enjoy open ocean viewing of Maui, Molokai, Molokini, Kahoolawe, and Lanai. You will be met upon arrival at Manele Harbor by one of the guides and taken to the shop in Lanai City. After picking up any gear you need the real adventure begins! Your guide knows the terrain, the flora and fauna, the stories and legends - and share them with you over the course of the tour. All tour vehicles are designed for your ultimate comfort and safety. The tour can be as active or relaxing as you like. Generally you will travel in a roomy, air conditioned , 4 wheel drive vehicle. You will experience a unique ironwood forest, where the wind is the only voice you will hear, on your way to the `Gardens of the Gods` - a breathtaking, natural red rock formation in the crater. Other highlights MAY include: “Shipwreck Beach”, where the scenic views of Molokai are interrupted only by the ship; The Munro Trails traversing the top of the crater with breathtaking views of the islands of Maui and Molokai; and ancient Petroglyphs.
