Four Wheel Drive and Hiking Adventure

Discover the beautiful island of Kauai on this four wheel drive tour combined with an approximate 3 mile hike to the center of the island. This Kauai sightseeing tour, with its many picturesque vistas, is not one you will soon forget.

Leave from your choice of Kilohana Plantation or the Coconut Marketplace and climb aboard our air conditioned four by four van. After boarding, we will head into the heart of Kauai. We will pass Opaekaa Falls and the Wailua Reservoir on our journey from Wailua to the Keahua Arboretum. Then fasten your seatbelts for a bumpy ride further into the Kauai interior. The trail heads across streams and through dense forest.

When we reach the “Gate” (used in Jurassic Park), we will park and begin our hike. Enjoy an easy 30 minute stroll through wild flowers and gorgeous views to the source, where water is diverted into the irrigation system of Lihue Plantation. Experienced guides will teach guests about the history and culture of Hawaii, while the guests explore and enjoy the breathtaking natural beauty.

Hopefully, we will see some light rain and the rainbows that come with them. Umbrellas, ponchos and walking sticks are provided, along with backpacks, snacks and drinks.
