Camelot Sportfishing

This Big Island fishing tour is currently unavailable for booking on our site. Please visit our Big Island Fishing Tours page for other available tours.

If you’re a serious angler, then many of the fish we catch are undoubtedly on your bucket list – from big catch like blue marlin to the rare spearfish. This sportfishing tour aboard the Camelot puts you front-and-center in some of the most productive waters anywhere in the world. Additionally, no other captain and crew in the Kailua Kona-based Honokohau Harbor has caught more trophy game fish than the Camelot.

Captain Robert Hudson, his wife Cyndee and son Chris are well known for their fishing prowess. They are winners of countless sportfishing tournaments over the last 40 years. In 2003, their charter fishing boat was the first one in Kona to bring in a real grander – a billfish weighing 1,041 pounds. The Kona coast offers some of the best deep sea, big game sportfishing in the world. Fish you can catch include blue marlin, striped marlin, ono (wahoo), mahi mahi (dorado), ahi (yellowfin tuna), spearfish, and many others.

You can also turn any of the private fishing charters into a customized adventure with activities that include snorkeling, whale watching, or swimming with dolphins in beautiful Kealakekua Bay at the Captain Cook Monument, renowned as "the best snorkeling in the state." With a private fishing charter, it’s your boat for the day! At the end of the excursion, the crew will fillet and share out the fish we've caught with everyone, so you won't leave empty-handed!

Got little ones? Bring them along! Families with kids of any age are welcome on board the Camelot. We can even fish for some of the smaller ocean dwellers that are commonly caught off the Kona Coast, so that even the youngest kids in your family can enjoy their fishing experience.
