Come aboard the Ocean Spirit, a beautiful sailing catamaran, for an authentic cultural immersion and sailing experience along the South Maui coastline. Ka Makana means “the gift” in the Hawaiian language and on this cruise, we will embark on a journey to explore the rich traditions, artistry and storytelling of the Hula dance.

Hula is considered a divine gift bestowed upon the Hawaiian people by the gods, and it has been an integral part of their culture for over a millennium. Join us on this two-hour voyage to ensure the enduring legacy of Hawaii’s unique traditions through a captivating experience filled with dance, chant and aloha.

Parking at the Maui Harbor Shops/Maui Ocean Center Aquarium is $1.00/hour and the first 15 minutes are free.

Wheelchairs: This vessel is NOT wheelchair accessible. The vessel has really high steps so it is not suggested even with assistance to board with another member of your group.

Equipment:: The Ocean Spirit is Pacific Whale Foundation's newest sailing catamaran. It was custom designed and features streamlined hulls and a spacious deck design, providing the ultimate in passenger comfort. The extra large deck offers plenty of outdoor seating. The vessel features his and her air-conditioned bathrooms, padded seating and a surround sound system. Although the Ocean Spirit has a capacity of 90 passengers, Pacific Whale Foundation limits the number of passengers by cruise type to provide an open yachting experience with plenty of room to relax.
