Kamokila Village
The rebuilt Kamokila Village is an educational way to teach your kids about the life of native Hawaiians before colonialism took over.
The compound is built over the site of an ancient Hawaiian village, and locals are around to demonstrate customs like cloth-making and farming techniques.
The village offers insight into the local history of Kauai, and it’s a fun and informative trip for everyone who goes.
Grand Hyatt Pools
The Grand Hyatt at Poipu has some of the most luxurious and impressive pools around.
From a saltwater lagoon to plenty of freshwater pools with a waterslide, cabanas, and rentable inner tubes, there’s endless fun for the whole family.
Unfortunately the pools aren’t open for swimming unless you are a guest, but you can get access by renting a room at the hotel.

Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens
Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens has some of the most beautiful landscapes and gardens you’ll ever see.
Your kids will love the children’s garden, with its tree house, jungle gym, and train ride.
And it’s just a quick hike away from some breathtaking views of the ocean.
Kamalani Playground
Your kids will love the massive Kamalani Playground, a huge wooden play structure equipped with swings, slides, and a huge volcano-shaped mountain fortress. Just looking at it will make you wish you were a kid again.
And for the adults, there’s plenty of fresh grassy areas to relax and have a picnic.
