Huaka'i Luau - Journey Through Polynesia

Experience the newest luau on Maui, held at the Maui Ocean Center’s award-winning Seascape Restaurant overlooking Ma'alaea Bay. Journey through Polynesia and experience the culture of the Polynesian islands brought to life through musical entertainment, cultural dances and a delicious dinner.  

At Huaka'i Luau, you'll learn about our Hawaiian and Polynesian culture and enjoy an evening of fun. Dinner is a blend of traditional island dishes and continental favorites (for the "less adventuresome")! To quench your thirst, adults age 21+ receive two drink tickets for alcoholic beverages.

General - Includes cultural activities, a Hawaiian cocktail upon entrance, dinner and Hawaiian entertainment

VIP - In addition to the general inclusions, VIP includes the best seating area, a tropical hair piece for women and a kukui nut gift for men, and admission passes to the Maui Ocean Center (to be used another day after the luau).

Special Instructions
Where and When:
April - October: Check in at 5:00 pm, Luau ends at approximately 8:15 pm
November - March: Check in at 4:30 pm, Luau ends at approximately 7:45 pm.

Parking at the Ma'alaea Harbor Shops is $1 per hour.
As of September 15, 2021, all guests 12 years and older must be fully COVID-19 vaccinated since the luau is held within a restaurant setting. This means that 2 weeks must have passed since the last dose in a 2 dose vaccine series or since the one dose vaccine was administered. Photo identification matching proof of vaccination will be required from each guest. Acceptable forms of proof include completed vaccination cards in original, photocopied or digital form, or the new Hawaii SMART Health digital health pass. Unlike on Oahu, however, a negative COVID test will not be an option for entering restaurants on Maui.

Face masks covering the nose and mouth are required for all guests 2 years of age and older while indoors. While seated and consuming food or beverages, all are welcome to remove the face mask.
Thermal temperature check is required by all guests 2 years of age and older. If your temperature shows in the "red zone," you and your party will not be permitted entry.

If someone has special dietary needs, food allergies, or requests for seating assistance for people using a wheelchair or walking cane, requests must be made a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

Infants (0-4) are able to have their own seat and plate of dinner.
