Of all the Maui tours that are being offered, a Haleakala tour is among the most popular. Get up early and watch what could be the most spectacular sunrise you will ever see. Stand on the summit of the world’s largest dormant volcano at an elevation of 10,000 feet and enjoy the fantastic panoramic views of Maui and the ocean below while the sun lights up the sky. If you are not an early riser, the same tour is available in the evening to watch the sunset, an equally amazing experience.

If you are an active person, check out the Haleakala bicycle tours that are great fun. They begin near the summit of the mountain and take you down Crater Road, the main access road which is all downhill and offers beautiful views along the way. Most Maui sightseeing tours on Maui combine a visit to Haleakala National Park with Iao Valley, another beautiful state park that is home to the famous Iao Needle, a 2,250-foot lava rock pinnacle covered with lush vegetation.

Combining island sightseeing with thrills and adventure are zipline treks. Harness up and zip through Maui’s lush forests and across meadows and tropical streams. If you love land-based fun and excitement, hop on an ATV and venture off the beaten path. Drive across vast ranchlands and kick up some dirt. Or get on a Segway personal transporter and enjoy some city sightseeing in historic downtown Lahaina.

Maui is also known for the many Pacific humpback whales that can be seen in the waters just offshore during the winter months from December through April. Whale watching tours are very popular during this time, and you will find a variety of boat tour companies that take guests on cruises along the island’s south shore (departing from both Lahaina and Ma'alaea harbors).

Other Maui tours that are very popular are snorkel tours to the tiny volcanic island called Molokini. This half-moon shaped islet is one of the best snorkeling and scuba diving locations in the world with excellent visibility and tons of marine life. Other snorkel tours take you over to the neighbor island of Lanai, which is home to a marine life preserve at Hulopoe Bay where dolphins are often times seen.

Hawaii Discount offers a huge selection of Maui tours. Whether you are looking for ocean or land-based tours or even a helicopter tour for the best aerial views, you are sure to find what you are looking for – and best of all, at discounted prices.
