Take a submarine tour off the Lahaina coastline and see Maui’s fascinating underwater world. Departing from Lahaina Harbor, you’ll first board a shuttle vessel, the Kapena, which will take you to the Atlantis Submarine that’s waiting for you offshore.

Once on board the Atlantis, your undersea adventure begins. Before long, the reef is in view. There is life everywhere down here! A handy fish identification chart is next to each observation window to help identify what you see. The tours are also narrated, so you can focus on what you see outside your window.

Next, the captain steers the sub to the wreck of the Carthagenian replica of a 19th century supply vessel. Since the ship needed major repairs and would have been scuttled at sea otherwise, it was sunk here in 2005 to help create an artificial reef that will have a lasting marine benefit.

After your submarine tour you’ll again board the shuttle vessel for a relaxing 10-minute cruise back to Lahaina Harbor – a great sightseeing opportunity and chance to take more pictures and watch whales during whale season!
