Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum - USS Bowfin Submarine
The Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum is temporarily closed for upgrades from January 13, 2025, until February 14, 2025. The submarine USS Bowfin and the remainder of the campus will remain open.
Experience what life was like for sailors aboard a World War II-era submarine. A visit to the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum offers a unique opportunity to board a submarine and learn about the inner workings of the vessels that make up the U.S. military’s “Silent Service.”
The Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum was recently renovated and features three galleries and many different exhibits and interactive displays. During World War II, the USS Bowfin went out on nine war patrols in the Pacific and is one of only 15 World War II submarines that remain intact today.
