Discount Hawaii Activities & Tours Make Your Vacation Extraordinary

Visit Hawaii’s National Parks - Hawaii Discount

Each island in the Hawaiian Island chain offers so much to do and see. With beautiful beaches and fun hikes through the mountains, the activities are endless, and your vacation is sure to be filled with more fun than you can handle.

One of the things that make Hawaii such a sought after destination is the endless natural beauty and well preserved landscapes that are found on every island. Thanks in large part to the efforts of island residents to take care of their home and make sure the beauty lasts through generations, Hawaii has remained largely undeveloped and natural, showcasing the lush landscapes, amazing beaches, and the overall stunning beauty that has brought visitors to the islands for many years.

In addition to the efforts of locals, the United States National Park Service has played an integral role in preserving key areas of the islands. In total, there are 8 National Parks in Hawaii, located on 4 different islands, and 1 more National Park that will soon be opening to the public.

Visit Hawaii’s National Parks:

Ala Kahakai – a 175-mile trail on the southern tip of the Big Island, this trail can be accessed from multiple locations and offers breathtaking views of the island’s scenic coastline.

Haleakala – Haleakala offers visitors unmatched views from Maui’s highest point. Arrive early for the sunrise, or come later in the day for the sunset. Either way, you will not be disappointed.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park – visit the only active volcano in Hawaii and witness years of volcanic destruction. You’ll feel like you’ve transported to the beginnings of the island while you’re here, and the sites will leave you in awe.

Kalaupapa – found on the island of Molokai, Kalaupapa is the famed site of Hawaii’s Leper Colony. The beauty of Kalaupapa is unlike any other and the remote colony has been a refuge for those afflicted with the disease since 1866.

Kaloko-Honokohau – on the Big Island, in Kona, you’ll find this National Park, established to preserve and protect the traditional native Hawaiian activities and culture. Inside the park, you’ll find fish ponds and haiaus (temples) that were originally erected hundreds of years ago.

Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau  - in the days of ancient Hawaii, this was a place of refuge for those who had broken a law. The site today consists of several temple platorms, fishponds,  and coastal village sites.

Pu`ukoholā Heiau – found on the northwestern coast of the Big Island, the significance of this locaiton is unmatched. The Great Temple of Kamehameha the Great is found here, and the location itself is where those who made Hawaii’s history lived.

World War II Valor in The Pacific National Monument – technically a National Monument, the location of this monument is at Pearl Harbor, the site of the tragic attacks of December 7, 1941. Visit the USS Arizona Memorial and the museums found at the Visitors Center for an in-depth discovery of the attacks and World War II.

Visit these great National Parks during your trip and find out so much more about Hawaii’s history, and the importance of each of these locations to the islands. Each site is very highly recommended and you will love the history that each contains.
