Depart from Keauhou Bay aboard the Hoku Nui, a spacious 50-foot luxury sailing catamaran, and enjoy beautiful Kona Coast views and the Hawaiian sunset as you cruise to Manta Village, an area where manta rays like to hang out.

Sea Paradise has been operating manta ray night snorkel tours at Manta Village since 1985 and is one of the original operators at this famous Kona manta ray site. Manta Village is also one of the most reliable places in the world for manta ray encounters, with Sea Paradise reporting an average sighting rate of about 85–95% year-round.  If manta rays are not seen on your tour night, you may return free within 7 days.

Once you arrive, the crew will help you enter the water and get comfortable at Sea Paradise's custom manta flotation device. Simply hold onto the float, look down through your mask and watch as lights attract zooplankton, which in turn draws reef manta rays to feed below. In-water guides remain with the group throughout the snorkel, and no scuba certification is required.

After your manta ray encounter, return aboard the Hoku Nui and relax with light snacks and a warm cup of hot cocoa as you cruise back to Keauhou Bay. This manta ray snorkel will surely be one of the highlights of your vacation and maybe even one of the most memorable things you do in your lifetime.

October - March: Check in at 5:45 pm. Tour time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm.
April - September: Check in at 6:15 pm. Tour time: 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm.

Return to Keauhou Bay approximately 1.5 to 2 hrs from departure time.

Check-in instructions:
Meet directly at Keauhou Bay located at the end of Kaleiopapa Street. Please do not check in at any buildings. You will be met by crew at the end of the pier 15 minutes prior to departure and will be fitted for wetsuits before boarding. Be sure to wear swimwear for the wetsuit fitting. Public restrooms are located on the east side of Kaleiopapa Street near the end parking lot. Restrooms are also on board the vessel.
Restrictions
Snorkeling: Minimum age 6 years
Ride along: Minimum age 4 years
Non-swimmers may not enter the water. Ride-Along option available.
Neck lanyards for phones not allowed.
Flash must be turned off on cameras.
All guests must be able to get up and down the ladder by themselves. It is about 3 ft wide with about 9 steps on the ladder.
Due to safety concerns, the use of full-face snorkel masks is not allowed on this tour.
Wetsuit sizes go up to 5X which usually fits up to 300 lbs depending on body's weight distribution.
