Sea Life Park Exhibits & Habitats
Sea Life Park has several marine life habitats, such as the new Shark Tank, a 300,000 gallon aquarium that is home to a dozen native Hawaiian sharks, including scalloped hammerhead sharks, sandbar sharks and black tip sharks. Just around the corner is a sea turtle pond that’s fun for kids. Watch cute turtles up close and see how they feed on algae and have a nap in the sun.
At the penguin exhibit you can watch penguins leap out of the water and listen to an informative penguin trainer talk. It is also fun to watch these curious little guys eat! Sea Life Park is also home to several friendly sea lions, who like to divide their time between diving and floating in their pool or basking and snoozing in the sun.
At the park’s seabird sanctuary injured or sick birds are taken care of and nursed back to health. Some are released into the wild and those that cannot go back into the wild are permanent residents at the park. Visit the sanctuary and take a look at local Hawaiian seabirds, including the Iwa (Great Frigate Bird).
