🤿 Hilo Ocean Adventures - 2 Tank Boat Dive (Certified) - Hilo Horizons
Explore the volcanic reefs beyond Hilo Bay on a two-tank boat dive aboard Hilo's only commercial dive boat. We visit uncrowded sites known for rugged lava formations, coral gardens, underwater ledges and a wide variety of Hawaiian marine life.
The first dive may explore the deeper terrain of Horizons Reef, where lava pinnacles, sandy channels and coral-covered shelves attract reef fish, trevally and occasional eagle rays. After a surface interval aboard the boat, the second dive often visits the shallower coral gardens of Waiolena Reef, where divers may encounter green sea turtles, moray eels, butterflyfish, yellow tangs, octopus and nudibranchs.
This tour is designed for certified divers with at least 15 logged dives or recent open-ocean diving experience. Dive sites are selected each day based on weather, currents, visibility and overall ocean conditions.
