This 2-hour introductory lesson focuses on giving the beginner surfer an easy approach focused on safety, fundamentals, and ocean awareness. Goofy Foot’s lessons are based on simple, effective instruction covering paddling, navigating the surf zone, catching waves, basic stances, board control, stopping, and safe falling techniques.
Beginner group lessons are suitable for most people. Students must be at least 9 years old (younger children require a private lesson). No prior ocean experience is necessary. Each group class is limited to 5 students per instructor to ensure a safe and fun learning environment.
