🪁 Hawaiian Watersports - Kiteboarding Lesson
Learn how to kitesurf at one of the best locations in the world to do so – Kailua Bay! The bay is consistently rated as one of the best beaches in the world. The conditions for kitesurfing are just perfect here.
As the only official IKO kiteboarding center on Oahu, Hawaiian Watersports has IKO certified instructors to make your learning experience safe and easy. No experience is necessary. You just have to be able to swim!
During this introductory lesson, you will learn about safety and wind theory, as well as the steps required to set up your equipment, launching and landing. We'll then go over the steps of piloting a 4-line modern kite and body dragging in the water. Upon mastering these skills, you'll be ready for the next step of getting up on the board and riding.

This is an intro kitesurfing lesson, which is focused mostly on theory and less on actual kitesurfing in the ocean. Realistically, to be up and kitesurfing in the open ocean, it takes several lessons and practice.
