Napili Bay, Maui

Known for its fine white sand, Napili Bay sits on the northwestern coast of Maui. Lying between two rocky points, Napili Bay has an excellent beach for swimming and other water activities. Although the ocean bottom is nice and sandy here, keep in watch for your children because the bottom will drop off quickly to overhead depths.

Body boarders and surfers are drawn to Napili Bay during the winter months when the surf tends to be high. It is best to save swimming and snorkeling for the summer months. When there is high surf, often times a rip current will occur and will run out to sea along the north point of the bay. Napili Bay can get a busy with its many hotels and vacation rentals located there. But an excellent spot for any type of beach goer.
