One of Hawaii’s most important landmarks would include Ka Lae. This rocky outcrop marks the most southern location in Hawaii. Also, the entire USA. Ka Lae is often referred to as the South Point of Big Island. The fishing conditions are top notch. Locals often peruse the Point to catch everything from Red Snapper to giant ‘ulua’ fish. Ka Lae is home to an old archeological site that contain traces of an ancient Hawaiin settlement that has been discovered. The coastal scenery of South Point is beautiful. Look for the wind farms and windmills.
