The beautiful island of Kauai is also known as “The Garden Isle,” and
Kauai Hawaii is considered by most to have the most natural beauty of
all the Hawaiian Islands. This environment, along with great things to
do in Kauai such as Kauai Activities and Kauai Tours are perfect for a
Kauai vacation. The outdoor Kauai activities here are incomparable to
the other Hawaiian Islands. You can do some Kauai Kayaking on the Napali
Coast of Kauai or visit Princeville, where there is amazing Kauai
Horseback Riding and Kauai Zipline Tours offered by Princeville Ranch
Adventures. There is also a Kauai Zip line Tour offered by Kauai
backcountry Adventures, which is close to Poipu and Lihue. Another fun
Kauai Tour is to see the beautiful landscape and Waimea Canyon on a
Kauai helicopter tour with Blue Hawaiian Helicopters. However you choose
to tour Kauai Hawaii, get ready for amazing views and native plant and
bird sightings. There are many fun things to do in Kauai, but be sure to
book well in advance because the Kauai Activities and Kauai Tours book
more quickly than any other island. There are many Kauai attractions to
see, so be sure to plan your trip and book your Hawaii Tours and Things
to do in Kauai in advance. We recommend a month in advance for most
tours including Kauai Tubing.
Kauai Hawaii has ranches, sugarcane
fields, pristine rainforests, and beautiful beaches such as Hanalei Bay
Beach, Lawai Beach, and Poipu Beach. Kauai Hawaii is the oldest of the
Hawaiian Islands. Kauai is 553 square miles of beauty and Things to do
and see.
Geography and Climate
Kauai Hawaii is home to
several different mini climates because of the varying landscape and
elevation. From sand dunes to desert plateaus, river valleys, and
tropical rainforests Kauai has it all. This island is a great place for
doing Kauai activities and is great for all ages.
Kauai’s
temperatures range from the low 60s to the upper 80s (15.5-26.6 C)
depending on the season or time of year. Most Kauai Activities such as
Kauai Snorkeling during the Winter months is done in the morning because
the water is calmest then. Mountain lovers can do some Kauai Hiking to
the island’s highest spot, which is Kawaikini Peak at an elevation of
5,243 feet (1,598 m), or the slightly shorter Mt. Waialeale at 5,052
feet (1,540 m).
The population of Kauai Hawaii is just over 58,000, which leaves plenty of room to be away from the more crowded island of Oahu.
Beaches
There
are 69 sandy beaches scattered along the island’s 113 miles of
shoreline. That’s more beaches per coastline mile than any other
Hawaiian Island! The majority of beaches here are pristine white-sand
beaches, and each offers unique views and Kauai activities. There are
also tours where you can visit the Kauai Fern Grotto or take a Kauai
Land Tour to see the entire island.
Golf
Kauai
is a golfing destination and many of the Kauai Golf Courses can be
ordered on Hawaii Golf Discount. If you are interested in other Hawaii
Activities be sure to go to the main page of this site Hawaii Discount
that has all the Hawaii Activities, Hawaii Tours, and Hawaii
Attractions.
Kauai Sites to See
Spouting Horn, which is on the south shore of Kauai, consists of a
lava formation that spouts out a towering geyser of water swells during
high tide. They can reach up to 60 feet (18 m)!
Be
sure to visit the NaPali Coast of West Kauai, where many of the Kauai
Dinner Cruises and Kauai Snorkeling Tours depart. The top companies that
offer both of these Kauai Attractions are Blue Dolphin Charters and
Captain Andys.
Mount Waialeale Crater is the wettest spot in the
world with an average of 460 inches of rain per year. Take a Hawaii
helicopter tour for a breathtaking perspective of the resulting
waterfalls of Kauai.
Botanical Gardens
Kauai is home to the
picturesque National Tropical Botanical Garden, which consists of
actually two gardens which are the Lawai and Alberton Gardens. You can view a unique collection of tropical plant life of Kauai Hawaii.
Kauai Things to do and See
