Pearl Harbor Tours
One of the most famous sites in all of Oahu is located just a short drive from Honolulu International Airport, and exists as one of the most solemn and important locations in the entire country. The sites, monuments, and memorials of Pearl Harbor stand to honor the brave heroes who fought off the attacks of December 7, 1941, and ensuing war that was fought. Our line of Pearl Harbor Tours showcase the importance of Pearl Harbor, and bring to life the attacks on Oahu that took place so long ago.
There are 4 main attractions at Pearl Harbor, each of which is an in depth look at an integral part of the United States involvement in World War II.
USS Arizona Memorial
Perhaps the most important Pearl Harbor attractions, the USS Arizona Memorial is a sobering introduction into the attacks. The unsuspecting sailors stationed at Pearl Harbor were just beginning their day, when the attacks began, and to this day, there are 1,177 of them remaining in the hull of the ship.
USS Missouri Battleship
There may not be a more perfect symbol of World War II, than the Mighty Mo. Not only has this battleship been in nearly every major conflict since World War II, but the formal surrender by the Japanese took place on its deck. A tour of the great battleship is inspiring, and shows of just how amazing she really is.
USS Bowfin Submarine
Forever docked at Pearl Harbor, the USS Bowfin was actually commissioned following the attacks, and earned the nickname of the “Pearl Harbor Avenger” for her role in the war. One of the most decorated war machines in history, a tour of the tight sub is a must.
Pacific Aviation Museum
The newest of the Pearl Harbor museums, this one is found on Ford Island and can only be accessed by Pearl Harbor shuttle. A walk through the hangar takes visitors through the aviation history of the United States, and brings into focus the importance of aviation over the years. Keep an eye out for bullet holes that are found all around the hangar as these are from the morning of the attacks.
