Kayaking In Oahu

So... my new husband and i were on our honeymoon in Oahu. best week ever. The FIRST day we were there, we decided we would be awesome and kayak along the coast. So we rented our kayaks and paddled out into the ocean. Which has waves. Large waves. Waves that hide the super sharp coral beds underneath. We kept getting slammed into the coral. We got cut up from head to toe.

Bleeding and bruised, we gave up after about 10 minutes and returned the rented kayaks in embarrassment. The worst part? Sitting in the sand, licking our wounds, my husband discovered he had lost his wedding band; a whole 48 hours after getting married, my husband lost his wedding ring. Still, that week was the best time we've ever had together. We definitely plan to go back... only we will NOT be participating in any kayaking.
