This Big Island helicopter tour offers a breathtaking perspective on Kona's world-famous coastline and natural volcanic beauty. Taking off from the Kona airport, you'll fly over the ancient Kaloko fishponds and then glide above the clear waters of Kailua Bay following picturesque Alii Drive.

Continuing south, enjoy spectacular views of the powdery expanse of Magic Sands Beach and the succulent green of Kona's famous coffee farms. From here, the tour continues on to Kealakekua Bay Marine Preserve, home to the historic Captain Cook Monument.

Turning inland, you'll soon fly over the unique geological formations of Kaupulehu crater and the majesty of the Hualalai volcano. Traversing across the molten rock, the landscape opens itself to the flourishing Puu Waawaa Forest Reserve, home to native flora and fauna. Before heading back to the airport, you'll soar over the turquoise waters of Kiholo Bay and enjoy views of the secluded beauty of Makalawena Beach.

    Restrictions:
    Due to FAA regulations, children 24 months and over require an individual full-fare seat. Any child under 24 months is welcome on the lap of a responsible adult at no charge.
    For each passenger weighing 260-279 lbs, a weight balance fee of an additional 50% is required. For each passenger weighing 280 lbs or more, a weight balance fee of an additional 100% is required . The maximum weight per passenger is 300 lbs (136 kg).

    Rainbow Helicopters' fleet includes the Airbus AStar and the Robinson R44 helicopters. The Airbus AStar seats 6 guests and has a spacious and comfortable cabin and panoramic interior for optimum visibility. The Robinson R44 seats 3 guests (all window seats) and features an open cabin design, offering unobstructed views for great pictures.
