Wasabi Tours - Big Island Waterfalls Adventure

This tour is all about waterfalls and rainforests! Your adventure begins with a visit to the Waipio Valley Lookout after passing through the famous Parker Ranch. Marvel at the gorgeous views of lush green mountains dropping into the sparkling blue sea, framed by a mile-long black sand beach.

The tour continues with a drive along the verdant Hamakua Coast, home to many waterfalls. See one of the island's most popular waterfalls, Akaka Falls, and hear the unrivaled power of water coursing down hundreds of feet. The next stop is a tropical garden nestled in the scenic Onomea Bay – Hawaii Tropical Bioreserve & Garden.

Throughout this garden, nature trails meander through a true tropical rainforest, crossing bubbling streams, passing several beautiful waterfalls. This highly acclaimed garden allows you to take up-close shots of rare and exotic flora - over 2,000 species of exotic tropical plants and orchids in a tranquil setting.

In the afternoon, swim under the 120 foot Kulaniapia private waterfall, Hawaii’s largest privately accessible waterfall, to cool down and relax if river conditions permit. Your adventure ends with the return to Kona/Kohala via the Saddle Road, a highway nestled between the world’s tallest sea mountain, Mauna Kea, and the world’s most massive mountain, Mauna Loa.
