Pacific Whale Foundation - Lanai Snorkel & Dolphin Watch

Please note: Tours running from September 7th through December 7th will be BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage). No alcoholic beverages will be served, and tour pricing for adult tickets is reduced during this time. Also, tours may be running aboard the Ocean Spirit, a sailing catamaran, during this time.

Discover why the island of Lanai has been rated one of the top 10 snorkel and dive spots in the world. This fun snorkel cruise aboard the Ocean Discovery takes you to the pristine waters off Lanai's south shore, a marine life conservation district. Explore the beautiful coral reefs, home to colorful tropical fish and green sea turtles. Dolphins are found off Lanai, too, including spinner, spotted and bottlenose dolphins. Sightings of humpback whales are common from December to April.

After snorkeling, adults age 21+ with valid picture ID may enjoy one complimentary alcoholic beverage, including local micro-brew beer, wine or a Mai Tai. Additional alcoholic drinks, blended cocktails or refills are available for purchase.

Tour time: 7:00 am - 12:00 pm
Check-in is at 6:15 am at the Pacific Whale Foundation's Ocean Store at the Maui Harbor Shops, which shares a parking lot with Maui Ocean Center, located at 192 Maalaea Rd, Wailuku (GPS address). View Map
Parking at the Maui Harbor Shops/Maui Ocean Center Aquarium is $1.00/hour and the first 15 minutes are free.

Restrictions:
We do not "swim with dolphins" on this tour. Maui County laws do not allow it.

Use of any full-face snorkel masks are not allowed on Pacific Whale Foundation activities due to safety concerns.
REEF-SAFE SUNSCREEN GUIDELINES: This tour requires you to use reef-safe sunscreen in accordance with the statewide ban on sunscreens that harm the reefs. Please read the ingredients list of your sunscreen as "reef-safe" is not a regulated term and sunscreens listed as such can have the following banned ingredients in them: oxybenzone, octinoxate, avobenzone, avobenzine, homosalate, octisalate, octocrylene, and ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate. Reef-Safe sunscreen can also be found in local stores or be purchased on-board (4oz for $13 rate may change).

Wheelchairs: This vessel is NOT wheelchair accessible. If guests are able to walk aboard the vessel (with or without assistance from someone in their group) and take a seat on the first deck they may attend. However the restrooms & upper-deck also not wheelchair accessible and may be difficult for the guest to reach. There is no storage for wheelchairs.

Equipment:
The Ocean Voyager is a 65-foot, double-deck catamaran that offers a smooth and relaxing ride, with a spacious shaded cabin and rear deck. The vessel also has sunbathing areas on the bow and upper deck. There is a galley with a bar and serving area, as well as tables and comfortable armchair seats. Best of all, there's a waterslide and snorkel platform for easy access in and out of the water. After snorkeling, you can rinse off using the freshwater shower. The vessel is also equipped with two his/her bathrooms.
