Pacific Whale Foundation - Sunset & Celestial Cruise

Enjoy a sunset cruise along the South Maui coastline that includes delicious appetizers and drinks while learning about Polynesian navigation (wayfinding) and how the ancient Polynesians used the stars to navigate across the Pacific and found the Hawaiian Islands.

On board is an international award-winning astronomy writer and speaker Harriet Witt, who will highlight specific stars. She will also relate stories about their significance to the Hawaiian culture. Witt is known for her entertaining and informative commentary on all things celestial.

This is truly a unique cruise, so if you are looking to enjoy great sunset views and learn more about the Hawaiian culture and the star-filled canvas above us, this is the cruise for you.

As a special bonus, during the winter months a hydrophone is lowered into the water to hear the beautifully haunting songs of the humpback whales under the stars.
